Grassroots Finals Returns to Ballyhass in 2017

October 7th sees the finals of the Industry Grassroots Return to Ballyhass

After three successful and super exciting stops in 2017 it has now come down to the business end of the season where the grassroots champions for 2017 will be decided. It has been a fantastic tour and has lots of new faces through out the divisions which should make the final stop as exciting as ever. It is anyones to win in most of the divisions.

Ballyhass Stop 1 June 3rd

Wakedock Stop 2 June 24th

Wakedock Stop 3 September 16th

Ballyhass Stop 4 October 7th FINALS

The grassroots is open for all levels of riders and is the perfect way to start your competitive career, meet new friends, show off to your old ones and soak up the vibe on the dock which tends to be incredible!

BALLYHSS SOLD OUT. Unfortunately we will have no houses avilable to book on the weekend of the event. The houses have been booked by several long term corportae bookings for the duration of the winter. We will hoever be putting effort into a competitors camp site. Please let us know if you would like to camp so we can have an idea of numbers on site.

Other options in the area are the Hibernian Hotel Mallow or Charleville Park Hotel or Springfort Hall

Our big event this year will be the nighttime shred on Friday Evening especially. We will be flood litting the park and offering unlimited shredding to competitors of the event. As always we want to provide the most water time as possible to you guys and this year it will be spectactular. The quarry with flood lights is one of the coolest places you can be. We will be running deep into the night on Friday so no matter what time you end up coming down we will hopefully get you plenty of warm up time. It is subject to weather conditions but at the moment we are looking good.

Scheduled warm ups have went well in the past so once again due to the large number of expected competitors we have scheduled warm up times especially for the riders staying on site. We will send out a scheduled list on the Thursday of the event week. There are nine/ten riders on the park per hour for the first three hours. If everyone arrives on time each rider should get the bones of a full set split between the East and the West park. If you arrive late you are sacrificing your own warm up time.

Please register at reception a minimum of 30 minutes before your warm up slot on the day. And be on the dock ready to go 15 minutes before your warm slot starts.

The entry fee is €50 for general entry. €40 for members & U16's. This includes, Friday evening jam 5pm to 8pm, morning coffees, lunch, cable time, Sunday Morning Jam 10am to 1pm & competition tee!

If you arrive on Friday please register then for the comp! It will save us time on the Saturday and it should make for a super relaxed day. You can also pre register online here

See the link below of the divisions info for you to have a look at if you are not sure which division to compete in. If you're still not sure no worries, just ask us on the day and we will talk you through it and watch your warm up run.

We will have a judge over again from Industry wakeparks so stay tuned for information on that.

We are holding a series of Jam sessions over the weekend. The first one being a competition jam on Friday night from 5.00pm till late!!. This is first come first served. We wont be allowing more than 20 riders on the dock  at any one time.  General sets on Friday, on the East park are always at a premium so if you are only arriving down on Friday please make sure to book in ASAP. There will also be a detox Jam on Sunday morning from 10 to 13.00 for those of you feeling fresh enough! Please don't book in unless you're serious about that one!!! The Jam will finish strictly at 13.00. Not everyone will get time it just isnt possible guys so please dont arrive at 12 and expect a 15 minute set. Equally if you arrive early and get loads of time on the cable, give way and try and let other people on.

After the judges deliberate the winners will be announced in the board room between 18.30 & 20.00. The winners of the grassroots stop will be announced first followed by the prize giving for the overall grassroots winners.

We will be having an after party in the Board room. There will be a live band going late so please BYOB and settle in for an awesome evening on the lake side. There will be Hot toddies to warm you up and heaters & marquees to keep you that way for the rest of the night!

Please check in at reception anytime after 12pm on Friday. Campers are free to arrive at anytime and set up.

If you haven't seen it yet check out the promo video that was made for the one of last years weekend. Jakub will be there shooting the edit of the day so this could be footage of you in couple of weeks! Please share and let's get a buzz going about the weekend.

Looking forward to seeing you all down in the next couple of days.

Eoghan, Eddie, Elaine, Taran, Tim & all the Ballyhass Team.
